On the 31st of August, the European Court of Human Rights (ECHR) condemned Italy for failing to guarantee adequate reception and protection to a minor girl originally from Ghana, a victim of previous violence in her country of origin and in Libya, in violation of the Convention UN on the Rights of the Child.
This was reported in a note by ASGI (Association of Legal Immigration Studies) and the humanitarian organization INTERSOS, which supported the girl's appeal.
