The foundation fulfils its goal with the following activities:
- establishing, maintaining and supporting a team of investigative journalists in Europe and beyond.
- supporting the production and distribution of investigative stories in cooperation with (media) partners.
- producing publications, creative expressions and the distribution of these stories and investigations.
- training and supervising investigative journalists.
Funding and financial reports
Lost in Europe was registered as a foundation in May 2024 and follows the calendar year.
Lost in Europe obtains income from project grants, multi-year grants, donations and fees for publications
The income is spent on conducting and supervising investigative journalism on the issue of migrant minors, coordinating and organising trainings and creative expressions, and maintaining and facilitating the content network. Our freelance team members are paid. Wages and/or allowances are market-based within the journalism field and in the country where the team member lives.
Financial reports will be published annually on this website.
