'In my apartment in Rotterdam was a small cream cake. I blew out the candles in the presence of my parents and little brother. As a child, you learn that you can make a wish when you blow out all the candles. I am now 22 years old. I have been making the same wish for four years. I used to have a fairly normal life. I was busy with all kinds of IND regulatory issues, but I was able to go to school. First I went to high school, and after that I went to college - to study logistics. I could play sports, went out more and more often. I was just like any other youth.
Now that I am an adult, that is different. I am now trying to get a student visa so that he can live legally in the Netherlands. Then I want to drive around Europe in a car, and see all the places my friends visit. I want to study and finally do legal work in his field. Then I hope to find a job in logistics that will allow me to stay in the Netherlands.'
