Care provision for migrant children in France is inadequate and varies significantly from one department to another

Between 2020 and 2025, more than ten thousand migrants were left on the streets of Paris after their status as minors was disputed. This is according to the latest report from Utopia 56, a non-profit organisation working to support the homeless. Whether an unaccompanied migrant minor receives proper support depends heavily on which department they register with.
